Like most of my great ideas, I stole this from a friend. (Thanks, Kate!) The idea is to count down the days until Christmas by
opening a new book every day. When I say new, I don't mean "new". We got several of ours from the library and the rest were ones that we hid away from last Christmas.
A few of my favorites are "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" and "The Polar Express". Let me know if you have any favorite kid's Christmas books that you think would be worth purchasing. I am looking to gradually add to our collection. And even though the books aren't new, if we haven't read them for a whole year they almost seem new. This is a great new tradition that celebrates Christmas and encourages the love of books!
