Blessings in Africa

 Hello friends!

Titus was able to speak yesterday with the youth conference where they had several people give their lives to Jesus. That is always a good day!

Today we got to visit our friends and Titus shared. As well as in a university church and now he is ministering to a college campus group. Tomorrow we pack up in the van to head west to Nyahururu. Pray for safe and peaceful travel as we get ready to arrive at Heroes. We are so excited to be there.

We have been enjoying a sweet time of fellowship with our friends here. I heard one of their stories. They had a daughter they had adopted on the day she was born. She had been abandoned by her family because her mother died in childbirth. In their culture, if a mother died in childbirth they consider the baby a bad omen, and many such babies are left to die. They took this little girl and  raised her as their own for over a decade,  and only recently - the biological family- who had rejected her as a baby, came and through the courts fought to take the girl back. Such a heartbreaking story. pray with me for this 11 year, especially that the Lord will protect her from any evil tribal rituals and draw her to Himself.

Just a reminder to me of the sacrificial nature of love.
