Spiders, planes and a Sunrise
Hello Friends! Greetings from Sunny Africa!
We are struggling with the great trial of warm water here. The Africans have a setting on their water tank that heats all the water to a nice warm tempature, just like ours at home would make the water cold. I just heard a child cry out, "Is there ANY cold water?" If these are our trials, we are doing pretty well. :)
If you would like to pray for us today what we have going on is meetings with all the staff at Heroes of the Nation and then later the team is going to minister at the Bible school.
Please also pray for the rest of our team who is enroute. Their plane yesterday was turned around midair and sent back to Paris with engine trouble. Thankfully they landed safe and sound. Please pray for their safe arrival and traveling mercies.
A few adventures from yesterday - the rooms in the house here have locks with keys. Ruby, while put down for a nap, locked herself in the room with the keys and couldn't unlock it. Luckily with a team of experts we were able to bust her out :)
Yesterday, right after my friend messaged that the plane had turned around and dumped the fuel in preparation for landing, also telling her that the emergency crews would be on the runway escorting them in to the terminal, I told her I would pray. I layed down to nurse the baby and started to pray, that second a giant spider landed on my head. You all probably know how much I enjoy giant spiders. Especially in my bed, on my head. I took this as a definate sign that the enemy was getting mad that we are invading his territory. I am expectant that God is up to something really good. Cant wait to see what He will do in our time together here!
Thank you so much for your prayers that have kept us all alive and safe from spiders ;)
Kenya has proven to be very good at sunrises. Blessings from Africa!
