The cook around our house tends to be very sensitive to critical comments about her cooking, especially those such as, "I hate this!" or "This is yucky." As such we have instituted a ban on such sayings. This has caused our son Joe to be creative with his comments at the dinner table. Some of my favorites are, "This is much better than I thought it would be." and "This is not nearly as bad as it looks." Today when we were eating some leftover casserole I couldn't help but laugh when Joe remarked, "This would be really good for someone who has no teeth."
